"In front of you" doesn't work quite right.
Cute concept, but kind of boring.

The people in this town seem awfully eager to give away things they're not using...but fun game nonetheless.

Surprisingly addicting and a very fun way of moving around. My only complaint is the fly on the front screen is all cute, and then you're supposed to go kill them all!

Okay, it's not a great game...why all the hate?

Brickout with a heavy superball -- that's the feeling I get. It's a fun game, and I like the visuals and sounds, but the ball can act unexpectedly sometimes, flying really hard one moment, and then falling rapidly the next.
Also, at one point, I lost, but nothing happened.

Fun and definitely addicting, except it's sometimes impossible to see what you're about to run into, and how come when you fall into the water, you die, but when the robber falls, he gets to jump ahead (i.e. he doesn't die)?

This has the potential to be really good, but isn't there yet.

The scenery and graphics in general are great, as is the music. Overall, it very much lends the feel of an epic to the game. The controls are relatively easy to use, though not very well explained, leading to some flailing around.

But there needs to be more. A little bit more of an introduction, a little bit more going on than repetitive slashing and hacking. Maybe break the game into segments, have checkpoints, like buildings which you "check into" at different pause points. Break up the scenery a little bit; just add more to the game to keep the user involved. Expand the storyline as you add elements to the game, characters, locations, etc. Do you see what I'm getting at?

There are also a couple of bugs. The timer, when reaching zero, doesn't stop but rather continues into the negatives. And while playing, I completely unintentionally managed to press some combination of keys that made my character rise up into the sky and not come back down. At this point the monsters all coalesced into one group and followed my shadow around. That's probably not good.

I say all this stuff because I'd love to see this game become better; I can see it being truly epic if you keep at it.

Were we supposed to do something with the hidden message? It would have been cool if you could use it to increase your score somehow (or maybe you could and I didn't notice...?)

Anyway, pretty cool game. Very inventive way of doing the main menu, and nice backstory. A little shaky on the history and spelling, but nice overall.

Fun but a bit clumsy to play. I like the units, and the base configuration is somewhat unique for this genre, but I found it hard to play effectively -- controls like click-dragging to select but spacebar to deselect, both WASD and mouse moving the screen (which made the screen move when I didn't intend to), and having to click several times to switch between units and buildings made it hard to get into the game or perform successfully.

A little bit of work and this will be a fine game indeed.

Nice, impressive game! I would not have expected someone to make elementary symbologic logic into an entertaining format, but this was expertly constructed. I admit myself confused by the choice of symbols on the last scene, but nonetheless it was an enjoyable forage into logical puzzles.
Much better than the average room escape game, that's for sure!
